So as we see Pluto enter Aquarius, I notice a few things:
- The rise of chat GPT and other technologies
- The ban on TikTok, Canada's C-11 bill, some say threats personal freedom and free speech
- The possibility of ICWA being overturned
The rise and fall of the collective. But I cannot help but notice how when Pluto transits into a sign, the opposite sign is triggered. For example, right now is Leo. Individual freedoms and expression matter now more than ever. Now I don't plan on making this a political post (Lord knows there are too many of those! And I am not the person for it), but rather an observational one.
When Pluto transited into Capricorn, we had the recession and the housing crash. People coldn't find jobs (Capricorn) or housing (Cancer). Both work and home life were affected. Cancer was activated as well as Capricorn.
When Pluto entered Sagittarius in 1995, we saw the widespread (or the beginnings of widespread) ideas, thoughts, and communications. We were suddenly more connected than ever before through the internet and the dot-com bubble. Pluto activated Gemini as it transited through Sagittarius.
In 1984, we saw Pluto make it's way into Scorpio. I know I typically associate Scorpio with loss and Taurus with gain (which, now that I think about it, is silly because if we are associating signs with houses, the eighth also rules inheritance and things of that nature. Gain in a different way). But as we see that transition from Libra to Scorpio, we see the early 80's recession. As Pluto comes into Scorpio completely in late 1983 - 1984, we see the market pick back up. Both sides of the wheel, Taurus and Scorpio, are activated.
We see a few countries gain independence as Pluto enters Libra. As Pluto progresses into Libra in the following years, we see more countries become independent, peace talks and agreements, and wars rage on.
As Pluto entered Virgo, we saw the Civil Rights movement and the call for equality, we saw a real need to change and to fix our society. We also see the rise of the hippie movement, universal love, so on and so forth. We see a lot of healing,on a collective and individual level. This is the Pisces/ Virgo axis being activated.
As Pluto entered Leo, we see the emergence of different forms of entertainment. The first Superman comic is released, Snow White grows in popularity, and War of the Worlds is played on the radio (collectively scaring everyone). The following year, three months before the official beginning of World War II, Pluto makes its way into Leo for the longest stretch. Collective and individual freedoms are challenged. Both Aquarius and Leo are activated.
As Pluto enters into the Aquarius/Leo axis again, we see large groups of individuals being affected once more. We see the possibility of ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) being overturned, which would take away native peoples' rights and protections to keep their children, after having them taken from them for many generations. We are able to hear individual voices now more than ever, with the power of the internet. We are able to hear individual causes that we otherwise wouldn't have. We see how one person can impact many.
Now, many of these dates are not completely and totally exact. But I do think it's interesting and something worth looking into. As we look at all of this we have to keep in mind the other transiting planets of the time. Does this theory apply to them too? That, I do not know. Perhaps this is already out in the world, and I have just not heard about it and learned this technique. But I do think it's interesting to see and to watch.
Let me know what you think! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Much love and best wishes,
Abigail
