Hi all! It's been a while. Seven months, to be exact. But I wanted to show you guys what I have been working on and towards in those seven months. In this article, I'll cover:

  • I've switched platforms, and why I suggest other astrologers do, too.
  • A new model for No Fear Astrology.
  • What's ahead for No Fear Astrology.

First off, you may notice that the site looks different. ( Btw please explore the site! I put a lot of time and effort into it and I'm actually really, really proud of it!) This is because I've switched platforms from Squarespace. If you're not interested in the techno-mumbo-jumbo, please skip ahead, this aims to more so talk to other professional astrologers who have used or currently use Squarespace.

Look, most of us are doing this ourselves. And if you're anything like me, (aka not tech savvy), you need something easy to use. I first used Squarespace for precisely this reason, and recommended it to basically everyone I knew. It was simple, easy, and I could make it look pretty (obviously, my priorities were in the right line, always with the pretty, lol). I knew I wanted a smooth website that was fast, simple, and easy to use.

And then Squarespace messed it up. With the new update, they've introduced something called "Fluid Engine". This allowed you to drag and drop text and images wherever you wanted to. Which sounds good, right? I'll spare you the specifics, but it was not what I needed. I needed something simpler and easier to maintain, not a website with more features.

And don't even get me started on Acuity, their built in scheduler. For any astrologers out there, I don't recommend it. You have to manually email clients zoom links, and it wasn't very intuitive or easy to understand in general. There are plenty of other schedulers out there.

Now, on to the next thing...

Some changes to No Fear Astrology

In the past, my blog and business model was very straightforward. I have the blog, and I do readings. But I think I've found a better way to accomplish my mission with this, which is:

  • Make astrology cheap and affordable
  • Have a safe space without all the fear mongering
  • Create a welcoming space for people to learn astrology at their own pace.

Now, before we get started, I want to address the first bullet point. Astrologers give a lot of value to their clients, and charge accordingly. Astrologers hold a lot of knowledge and counsel their clients. This is not to say that astrology readings aren't worth it or worth the price, nor is it to criticize anyone about the prices they set. In many times and places, their prices are justified. I can't ramble on this for too long, lest we get into the hairy territory of money, but I think it's safe to say, y'all get the point.

What I mean with the first point is that I want to make learning astrology affordable. Or at least, as affordable as I can make it. When I first started, it was hard to find good information, classes were priced anywhere from $20 to $497 (and more, depending if it was a multi-level course or not) and the free information was good, but not enough to sustain my knowledge. I want to change that.

No Fear Astrology will be offering affordable knowledge, articles, and content, through a tiered subscription service. Here's what I want to do with that, and the tiers available. Please read through all the tiers because I ask questions and want your feedback. Providing these services is pointless without you, and I want to craft services you can actually love and learn from.

Free Tier: The same info and blog posts you've been receiving! You'll get the same service and level of quality that you've been getting. I know I've been gone a bit, but regular scheduling (I'm hoping to aim for twice a month, every other week, or once a week, we'll see how it goes- what would you guys like to see? Monthly? Bi-weekly? Weekly? Let me know, and I'll see if I can keep up.) I am also hoping to start an astrology book or discussion club, but we'll see how it goes and if you guys want that!

$3 Tier: Access to exclusive posts. This would be anything I don't feel comfortable putting out there for free, but still want to talk about. Examples may include more in-depth educational posts, exclusive content, and maybe a beginner's astrology course.

$5 Tier: Please note this tier is not out yet. Access to exclusive posts and the aspects library. Aspects are, understandably, one of the hardest things to learn when you're just starting astrology. What I want to do with the aspects library is to cover all the major aspects by sign, house, planets, and aspect pattern configurations. I plan on releasing them gradually, hence why this tier is not available yet.

$12 Tier: Access to exclusive posts, the aspect library, and the ability join me live. I know I really wanted to be able to ask my favorite astrologers questions, especially in real time, so I want to make that available to you too.

$18 Tier: Please note this tier is not available yet. Access to everything above, and everything on how to start an astrology business, and make it work for you. I hope this will have resources that were not available to me when I was first starting out so you can have the business of your dreams. I want to talk about pricing models, schedulers, websites, SEO, marketing and advertising, styles of reading, etc.

Readings will still be available. If you want a reading, I will gladly do it, or I can recommend an astrologer I trust. I want to help people learn, and give them an easier avenue to do it. Subscriptions can be paid monthly or yearly (but you'll receive a 20% discount on yearly payments).

A brief glance at what's ahead

I know I haven't updated in a while (as said many times in this post), but I have plenty of ideas of what's next and new for No Fear Astrology. I want to give you guys a taste of what's to come outside of these tiers, and see if you'd actually want these things.

  • Astrology book reviews
  • Astrology software reviews
  • Youtube videos and lessons through video format (not just blog/written format)

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think on all this. The comment section is a little different on this platform, it makes you "log in" or sign up to comment. I know that can be different, but I'm pretty sure you can still sign up and have the ability to comment if you unsubscribe from newsletters, or not want to get them (though, I'd love it if you signed up for emails, to be honest).

Previous subscribers: No worries! You're already in the system under the free tier, which is a direct transfer of what the old newsletter was. I just wanted to take this time and thank you for sticking with me throughout this journey and your support! I also love that some of you have invited your friends! I really appreciate you! <3

With all that being said, thanks for reading. You all have truly been the biggest support and I love talking to you! I'm excited for what's to come and look forward to any feedback you have. Thank you for coming along on this journey with me.

Best wishes,

A post card From Abigail to you, saying, "Thank you! Truly grateful for you!" <3
